2011 CT LITTLE LEAGUE DISTRICTS 6 AND 8
INTERTOWN FALL SOFTBALL LEAGUE LOCAL RULES
This is the beginning of next year for players looking to improve their skills and potentially prepare to step up to the next level of play in the Spring. Rules begin with the anticipated ages of players at the various levels. The agreed upon guidelines are as follows:
Farm A is for players LL age 6-7 who may be advancing to AA in the Spring
Level 1 is for players LL age 8-9 who may be advancing to AAA in the Spring
Level 2 is for players LL age 10-11 who may be advancing to Majors in the Spring
Level 3 is for players LL age 12-14 who will be playing Juniors in the Spring
Additionally, a point of emphasis is being placed this Fall on bunting at Level 1. Note for coaches and umpires, if a Level 1 player squares, but does not move to try to bunt and misses, the pitch is called a ban. At Level 2 and above, players are required to pull back to avoid a strike being called.
At Levels 1-3, in the interest of moving the game along, all coaches are encouraged to keep warm-up pitches to 4 and infield/outfield balls to one rotation through the players.
