Baseball Leagues (ages in the description are Little League Age):
Little League Age is the child's age on April 30, 2020 (if born on August 31, 2005 or earlier) or
Little League age is the child's age on August 31, 2020 (if born on September 1, 2005 or later).
T-Ball: T-Ball is an instructional program for boys and girls 4-6 years old. All 4 year olds must play tee ball. Games typically are played on Saturdays and Sundays at the Little League Fields, with one scheduled practice per week. Teams are typically formed according to neighborhood residence and school attendance. Managers will contact players in late March.
Coach Pitch: A level established primarily for 5-8 year old boys. 5 and 6 year olds are permitted to play “coach Pitch”, if they have played one year of T-Ball. Emphasis is on learning the fundamentals of baseball, excluding pitching. Games typically are played on Saturdays and Saturdays at the Little League Fields, with one scheduled practice per week. Teams are typically formed according to neighborhood residence and school attendance. Managers will contact players in late March.
Machine Pitch: A competitive level for boys and girls between 7-10 years of age who do not have the experience to play the National or American level. A spring loaded (“machine”) pitching device is used. Kids will not pitch in this league. Teams are determined by a draft based on an independent evaluation at tryouts. Most games are played on Thursdays and Saturdays, but some games will be scheduled on other days. There will also be one scheduled practice per week. Following a draft in March, managers will contact selected players. TRY-OUT REQUIRED.
Minors: A competitive live pitching level for the more experienced 8-11 year old boys and girls. Teams are determined by a draft based on an independent evaluation at tryouts. Most games are played on Tuesdays and Saturdays, but some games will be scheduled on other days. There will also be one scheduled practice per week. Following a draft in March, managers will contact selected players. TRY-OUT REQUIRED. 12 year olds are not allowed to pitch in the Minor Leagues.
Majors: A level for the most experienced 10-12 year old boys and girls. You must play at least one year at the Minors level before trying out for Majors. Teams are determined by a draft based on an independent evaluation at tryouts. Games typically are played on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at the Little League fields. Following the draft in March, managers will contact selected players. TRY-OUT REQUIRED.
Juniors: A level for 13-14 year olds. Teams are determined by a draft. Games will be played against other teams in FYBL, but also teams in District 5.
Seniors: A level for 13-16 year olds. Teams are determined by a draft. Games will be played against other teams in FYBL, but also teams in District 5.
Softball Leagues (ages in the description are Softball Age):
For Spring 2020, your daughter's official softball age is her age on December 31, 2019.
(In other words, subtract her year of birth from 2019).
Coach Pitch: A level established primarily for 6-8 year old girls. Emphasis is on learning the fundamentals of softball, excluding pitching. Managers will contact players in late March. Girls who are Little League Softball Age 5 may participate in the Coach Pitch Division if they played in the FYBL T-Ball or Coach Pitch Division in the 2016 Spring season.

Minors / AA: A level established primarily for 7-10 year old girls. Emphasis is on learning the fundamentals of softball, including pitching. Managers will contact players in late March. TRY-OUT REQUIRED.
Minors / AAA - A level established primarily for 8-11 year old girls. This level is a competitive live pitching level with emphasis on learning the fundamentals of softball. TRY-OUT REQUIRED.

Majors: A level established primarily 10-12 year old girls. This level includes competitive play and live pitching. Player placement and teams are determined after the draft in March. For this level, all girls will need to participate in a tryout. TRY-OUT REQUIRED.
